1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using MusicInnovation ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

MusicInnovation is a music taste compatibility checker that uses your Spotify listening data to generate AI-powered compatibility reports with other users.

2. Description of Service

MusicInnovation provides the following features:

• Music taste compatibility checks between Spotify users
• AI-generated compatibility reports with humor and analysis
• Comparison of top artists, tracks, and genres
• Premium features including unlimited checks and extended reports
• Party Mode: shared music queues with real-time voting and playback control

3. Spotify Authorization

To use MusicInnovation, you must authorize access to your Spotify account. By connecting your Spotify account, you grant us permission to:

• Access your top artists and tracks
• View your recently played tracks
• Read your user profile information
• Control playback on your devices (Party Mode hosts only)
• Create playlists (for exporting party queues)

We will never modify your existing playlists or listening data. Playback control is only used during Party Mode sessions you host.

4. User Accounts

Your MusicInnovation account is linked to your Spotify account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Spotify credentials.

You may disconnect your Spotify account from MusicInnovation at any time through your Spotify account settings.

5. Free and Paid Services

MusicInnovation offers both free and paid tiers:

• Free Tier: 1 compatibility check per day with basic reports
• Unlimited Subscription: Unlimited checks with extended reports ($3.99/month)
• One-time Purchases: Special features like Party Mode and Anonymous Crush Check

6. Payments and Refunds

Payments are processed securely through Stripe. By making a purchase, you agree to Stripe's terms of service.

Subscriptions: You may cancel your subscription at any time. You will retain access until the end of your current billing period. No partial refunds are provided for unused time.

One-time Purchases: Due to the digital nature of our products, one-time purchases are non-refundable once the feature has been used. If you experience technical issues, please contact us for assistance.

7. Party Mode

Party Mode allows you to host shared music queues where guests can add songs and vote on what plays next.

• Host Requirements: Hosts must have Spotify Premium for playback control
• Guest Access: Guests can join without a Spotify account using a display name
• Content Responsibility: Hosts are responsible for songs played at their party
• Guest Limits: Free tier allows up to 5 guests; Party Mode purchase allows up to 50 guests

Party sessions are temporary. Queue data is deleted when the party ends unless exported to a Spotify playlist.

8. AI-Generated Content

Compatibility reports are generated by artificial intelligence (Claude by Anthropic). These reports are meant for entertainment purposes and may include humorous "roasts" of music taste.

AI-generated content is subjective and should not be taken as factual assessments of personal relationships or music quality. We are not responsible for any hurt feelings resulting from brutally honest compatibility reports.

9. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to access other users' data without authorization
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service
• Use automated systems to access the Service (bots, scrapers, etc.)
• Circumvent any rate limits or access restrictions
• Resell or redistribute the Service

10. Intellectual Property

MusicInnovation and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by us and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

Spotify, the Spotify logo, and related marks are trademarks of Spotify AB. MusicInnovation is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Spotify.

11. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or meet your specific requirements.

In no event shall MusicInnovation be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of the Service.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
